Accelerated PMP® Exam Preparation

This intensive 4-day, directed study course is designed to prepare you for the PMP® exam in a fun and effective manner - with a minimum amount of studying after class! In addition to unique games and activities, there are exercises and techniques designed specifically to increase both learning and knowledge retention, giving students not only the knowledge they need to quickly prepare for the exam, but also to become a better project manager - without rote memorization. Materials utilized in this class include RMC’s PMP® Exam Prep System, plus other materials not available to the general public. Students are allowed to keep the PMP® Exam Prep System ($399 value) for free upon completion of the course.

Experienced Project Managers, interested in PMP® Certification.

Prerequisites

Prior to enrolling in this class, you:

  • Must have taken a course in basic project management; and
  • May have received your approval to take the exam from PMI. If you have not had a basic project management course in the recent past you will not be ready to pass the exam. Please consider taking a Project Management Fundamentals class. In addition, you must be familiar with the following prior to enrolling:
    • Project charter 
    • Work breakdown structures, with experience creating one in the real world and knowledge that they are not created in a bar or Gantt chart 
    • Network diagram 
    • Time and cost estimating 
    • Planning quality into a project 
    • Communications plans (and why they are important) 
    • Management plans (what they contain and why they are important) 
    • The process of planning a project 
    • What a project manager should be doing when the work is going on 
    • What should be measured on a project, when and why 
    • Project closeout (what should be done and why it is important)

You should also have at least some exposure to the following before this class:

  • Procurement Management
  • Earned Value
  • Risk
